time flies too fast!

spring has been in bloom since sometime around march in las vegas.

after a horrid february, march was filled with more bipolar weather.

we're at the very end of april now, and it looks like it's going to stick to the beaming hot sun type of weather. i don't even recall any april showers this year..

^^penelope had her 3rd birthday. she asked for ice cream, so i got her cake-fetti ice cream, topped with a sparkling # '3'. she really enjoyed it. she had a party thrown for her at her nana's the following weekend, and i didn't take pictures :( i was too busy having a good time with family!^^

 

^^spent one really warm afternoon at the park with some good friends for a mini shoot and some play time. hubby here showed penelope how fun dandelions are! we also let them get soaked in a play fountain. it was all fun and great until penelope discovered a tiny bug crawl around on her hand in the car on the way home. i've never seen/heard her freak out like that. i've been catching bugs lately to show her how harmless they actually are. ^^

^^then fucsia. it's a lighter pink now, since it's semi permanent. but i have been having so much fun sporting this hair! not sure i would ever do it again, but it's fun for now :)^^

^billie. talking so much lately. she also follows her big sis evvveerryywhhere. and anything penelope gets, billie has to make sure we get it for her too. they're competive, already. a lot of times it scares me, how fast they're growing up.^^

^^had a day at the pool with some girlfriends. this night ended up being a sloppy one, ha!^^

 

so those are some highlights of march-april this year. may should be pretty chill month for us. a bff is coming in from dc, so i'm looking forward to some more girl time! and i'm definitely going to squeeze in more pool time!

ballet

penelope had her first ever ballet class this passed saturday. she loved it so much, she wanted to have another go at it right away. my little one cried when i told her that she had to wait another week.

but seriously..it was the cutest thing ever. seeing all the 2 year old little girls prancing about the dance floor.

i myself, can't wait for friday to come along. friday is her creative movement class. and she doesn't reallllly know it yet.. as she loved ballet so much, i don't want to disappoint her, but we're getting her to try a couple different things before anything is final, so we'll see!

the holidays are coming!

so, forget about thanksgiving! just kidding.

i love thanks day, it's just i was alone with my kids in taking them here, and there, and everywhere, as my hubby worked. not a fun time.

at least i enjoyed the food.

 

..and now onto the holidays!

which not too much has been going on here about that, aside from decorating our living room and dining room.

no lights up outside, i won't dare ask matt to do that..

and frankly, it's already too cold out, and i won't do it. i'll just take the kids out to see the light show in town, as well as have them visit the magical forest. i know they'll love that!

so there we have it! i'd love to add more all over this home, but being busy with my girls, christmas is coming at me so fast, i feel like it may not be really worth it this year. i'll definitely have the place looking more festive next year.

ahh. november.

ahh. finally the crisp cool air has arrived and its stayin' for good. at least until february? in vegas..which feels like it is already around the corner..ugh! i want to move. to where there are all the four magical seasons. not two. one day, i very much hope.

some stuff since august part II

before i go on, today is voting day!

...very proud i did.

now, continuing on from where i left off.

we get back from lovely la, back to our hectic lives.

missed the kids terribly.

..i got my craft on:

..ended up wiping it clean and selling the plates to a local tattoo artist who loved the original design. as you can see, they were very, very pretty.

met up with some buddies at our local orchard.

..we were originally there to pick up pumpkins. it was vegas, so we were dying from the heat in the first hour. we didn't make it to the pumpkins. 

got some girl time in with erin at the renaissance fair.

..it was my first time and i loved it. the stuff they sell there is awesome! and i had fun with all the game of thrones talk. even though erin and i were the only vikings there. whoops.

..attended a couple birthday parties..

 penelope loves nothing more than a good party. even today, she asks when the next party is.

 we attended a couple parties. knowing that matt had to work halloween, we also celebrated early. we took the kids to the springs preserve to trick or treat the saturday before halloween. it was funn!
