time flies too fast!

spring has been in bloom since sometime around march in las vegas.

after a horrid february, march was filled with more bipolar weather.

we're at the very end of april now, and it looks like it's going to stick to the beaming hot sun type of weather. i don't even recall any april showers this year..

^^penelope had her 3rd birthday. she asked for ice cream, so i got her cake-fetti ice cream, topped with a sparkling # '3'. she really enjoyed it. she had a party thrown for her at her nana's the following weekend, and i didn't take pictures :( i was too busy having a good time with family!^^

 

^^spent one really warm afternoon at the park with some good friends for a mini shoot and some play time. hubby here showed penelope how fun dandelions are! we also let them get soaked in a play fountain. it was all fun and great until penelope discovered a tiny bug crawl around on her hand in the car on the way home. i've never seen/heard her freak out like that. i've been catching bugs lately to show her how harmless they actually are. ^^

^^then fucsia. it's a lighter pink now, since it's semi permanent. but i have been having so much fun sporting this hair! not sure i would ever do it again, but it's fun for now :)^^

^^it was #nationalsiblingsday a couple weeks back^^

^billie. talking so much lately. she also follows her big sis evvveerryywhhere. and anything penelope gets, billie has to make sure we get it for her too. they're competive, already. a lot of times it scares me, how fast they're growing up.^^

^^had a day at the pool with some girlfriends. this night ended up being a sloppy one, ha!^^

 

so those are some highlights of march-april this year. may should be pretty chill month for us. a bff is coming in from dc, so i'm looking forward to some more girl time! and i'm definitely going to squeeze in more pool time!

 ^^pretty much sums up my day today. i have sick babies. it's not my little angels i find frustrating..it's their nasty coughs, heavy breathing, fevers, and vomitting. please sickeness, leave my babies be. i can't bare to see them like this. breaks my heart, and man i'm tired :( ^^*

^^the weather was pretty great the other day. so warm and sunny, i thought for sure the cold had finally left us, until today...pretty chilly out again. 'why you so bipolar, weather??'^^

penelope had her first ever ballet class this passed saturday. she loved it so much, she wanted to have another go at it right away. my little one cried when i told her that she had to wait another week.

but seriously..it was the cutest thing ever. seeing all the 2 year old little girls prancing about the dance floor.

i myself, can't wait for friday to come along. friday is her creative movement class. and she doesn't reallllly know it yet.. as she loved ballet so much, i don't want to disappoint her, but we're getting her to try a couple different things before anything is final, so we'll see!

^^billie wanted a photo with her chalkboard art. she's proud of this one. which also gave me an idea for her: taking her photo with her art. i wonder what we'll have accumulated when she turns 10 even^^

also, i finally did a little more experimenting with blogger and figured out how to make my images larger. felt pretty dumb when i figured it out because it only took two clicks of the mouse...i may also be jazzing up the place as it is all uneven now with the bigger images. so let's see how that'll turn out..



they screamed for ice cream..

so i thought, 'why not?'

especially since they've been good little girls lately. well, not so much billie, but she's going through a phase. a whiney one..

penelope picked out the ice cream box from the store.

of course she wanted the one with sprinkles on it.

she's just all rainbows and sunshine, you know. oh, and lady gaga's 'poker face'... and 'candy perry's' (katy perry) 'california gurlz'..all..flippin'..day.

i hope everyday that she forgets, but at the moment she finds me in front of the computer, the swift little bunny appears by my side, with the 'please-don't-get-angry-at-me-for-wanting-to-listen-to-the-same-two-songs-over-and-over-again' sweet little heavenly face of hers. aye.

penelope loves to sing, and i encourage it. even if i find her choice in music err..you know.. i understand it may be a fun challenge for her. i figure she's tired herself from the same abc tunes and nursery rhymes.

though, today we did finally graduate from the two artists, and moved on to yeah yeah yeahs, and ellie goulding. yes! it only took her about 3 weeks..

2013

it is here. and i am glad.

2012 wasn't that great, up until the end there though, had a great december.

there always seems, to me, like there has to be a balance in life.. for every amazing time and memory, there seems to be a foul, terrible memory.

shall i bore you and look back?

ok. ok! i won't.

so turns out, i don't have to give up this amaze ballz camera just yet, suckas!!

my friend ryan was even super kind enough to let us borrow it longer, and with a tripod!

haven't used it yet, but i'll set something up tomorrow as an experiment.

after christmas came and went, our awesome friends paid us a sweet, booze filled visit.

with best friends, those visits are really the best kinds.

and sadly melinda lives in a far, but not too far place. i always miss her.
ryan is also relocating soon. to los angeles, though.

i'm sure when they go, and after we get a newer vehicle, we'll be able to see them as often as we want.
which makes me excited for 2013.
can we please get a new car, 2013?? please?
